Frequently Asked Questions

What should we bring with us?

All our properties are set up as a ‘home from home’ and are equipped accordingly. The properties will have supplies to get you through the first night or two, toilet paper, dishwashing tablets, washing powder, firewood, etc. Most properties also have a basic supply of tea, coffee, salt, and pepper. You will need to bring your own food and drink plus personal toiletries.

Is linen provided?

All of our properties have a full linen service included in the tariff. This includes bed and bath linens. You only need to bring your owner beach towels.

When do I need to pay?

a 50% deposit is required at the time of the booking. The balance is then due 30 days prior to arrival. A reminder email will be sent at that time. If you are arriving within 30 days of making the booking the full amount will be due.

Where do we collect our keys?

Keys will be accessed through a lock box. The code for the lock box and instructions on where to find it, will be sent to you approx. 2 hours prior to your check in time.

When is check in and checkout time?

DiJones Holidays has a standard check in time of 3pm and check out time is 10am. We can offer a complimentary early check-in or late check-out time where booking and housekeeping schedules allow. To organise a late check out please phone our concierge team (02) 9908 6099

Note that due to demand and housekeeping pressures, no early check-ins or late check-outs will be granted during peak seasons. The safest way to secure an early check-in or later check-out is to book the property for an extra night.

Do you have a minimum night’s stay?

Yes, all our properties have a minimum two-night stay on standard weekends, a minimum 3-night stay on public holidays, 4 nights over Easter, and 5 nights over Christmas/New Year.

Can I bring my pet on holiday?

We have many pet-friendly properties that are listed on the website, search by feature, and go to our Pet-Friendly category. Just because a property is Pet Friendly it does not necessarily mean it is fully fenced – please check individual listings or call to discuss with our team.

What if damage occurs while we are in the holiday property?

Please notify our office as soon as possible if any damages occur.

What do we do if we lock ourselves out of our holiday property?

Please call the local locksmith to gain access back into the property. This charge will be at your own expense.

What do we do if something breaks down at the property?

If an item does break down, please contact us through the guest portal to ensure we book a repair for you as soon as possible. If the item is general maintenance e.g. leaking tap we will resolve this after you leave. However, should the item be urgent and involve cooking facilities, or bathroom showering or toilets we will endeavour to get this resolved urgently for you. In these cases, emergencies can be booked directly with our trades who have been sent to you just prior to your check-in.

If I cancel my booking will I get my money back?

Our cancellation policy is dependent on which website you have booked through. Please check your booking on your booking platform for clarification. In all cases booking fees and credit card fees are non-refundable. We may be able to transfer your booking to a different date at the same property or reduce the stay at our discretion. A transfer fee may be applicable. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for the full details.

What is the Bond?

The bond is our security against any damages done to the property during your stay, and any additional cleaning required above a standard exit clean. The bond is processed as a pre-authorisation at check-in. The minimum bond amount is $1,000. This is refundable providing the conditions of your stay are met and not breached. We will also keep your online check in form on file for up to 14 days after the date of stay to act as the bond, should there be any issues with the way the property is left.

Can I hold a party at the property?

We have a strict no party policy. Only guests staying at the property can be present.

Is there a maximum number of people who can stay at the properties?

Yes, only the number of people stated on the property website description are permitted to stay at the property.

Can I smoke at the property?

All our properties have an internal no smoking policy. If smoking outside, you will need to stand well clear of the windows and ensure you place all butts in the rubbish bin.

Why do I need to upload my driver’s license and credit card details if I have already paid?

We kindly request these documents to confirm that the booking is being paid for with a legitimate credit card. By matching the name on your identification with the name on the card used for payment, we can verify your identity and ensure that you are the true owner of the credit card.

Why are you asking me for my personal documents when I have already provided them to my chosen booking platform (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc)?

While you may have already provided these documents to your chosen booking platform, they do not share this information with us. In many cases, payment is made using a Virtual Credit Card. To ensure the security of your booking and to protect against the use of stolen credit cards, we request your identification and credit card details. By matching the name on your driver’s licence with the name on the credit card, we can verify your identity and confirm that the booking is legitimate.

I don’t want to upload my documents online, is there an alternative?

We completely understand if you remain uncomfortable uploading your personal information online. However, this is our policy in ensuring that we are able to verify you are the registered guest and all ID and credit cards used for the booking match and the booking is legitimate.
